By Ira M. Resnick | Foreword by Robert Klein
Mick Jagger, Paul McCartney, Sissy Spacek, Bruce Springsteen, Muhammad Ali, Steve Martin, Jimmy Carter....These are just a handful of the luminaries I photographed from 1970 to 1980.
In Ira ResnickA Decade Through My Lens is a photographic memoir of my decade spent as a professional photographer, when I lived and worked in NYC, Mill Valley and Hollywood and shot for publications such as Rolling Stone. a
The book chronicles when I was finding my way as a young adult during a period of tremendous change in the world. I’ve aimed to capture the experience of being a photographer during those heady years. I am sharing the memories and images of the music, the comedy, the politics and the actors of those times to give a sense of what it was like to be an active participant in the arts scene.
The book includes my reminiscences about the period and my pictures of such personalities to those mentioned above, along with Jackie O, Rock Hudson, Groucho Marx, the original cast of Saturday Night Live, Jane Fonda, Tom Hayden, Walt Frasier, Chris Evert, Andy Warhol, Warren Beatty, Lily Tomlin and many others.
